Good Morning Everyone,

Today I am showing one of the cards that we will be making in our Valentine Card Class. The class is this Sat Feb 11 with Sarah and myself. We are going to show you a bunch of techniques using Ranger products.

The stamp set we will be using is Love Struck from Tim Holtz.
I used the Ranger Inkssential Metal Foil Tape Sheets to make the background along with Tim Holtz Springtime Embossing Folder and Adirondack Alcohol Ink

Love the look this techniques gives.

Good Morning.

I thought I should do something that would help me get organized this year. Wishful thinking. Hey, have to try, right!. Anyway I have some of these little notebooks and I thought I could use one for my wish list. I don't know about you but do you go into your local scrap booking store and you need to pick up some inks etc and you can't remember if you have that colour. So I thought if I made this little note book with my wish list, it can help me stop buying duplicates. It is small enough to carry in my purse.

The paper is from the Kaiser Line called Sweet Nothing. The stamp is from the {stamps}of life called list2write.

I got my inspiration by Davinie's Challenge over at Scrapbook & Cards today magazine. I loved how she did the snowflakes and part of a tag. I did faux stitch lines, not fond of getting the sewing machine out.

My card today was made using Tim Holtz carved Ornaments Mover & Shapers and his embossing folder Christmas and background set.
I love using non traditional colours with some of my Christmas projects. I used a purple card stock for the background and silver metallic ink to highlight some of the embossed areas on the card.

Here is my card for the Stampotique Designers Challenge. It is a non traditional Christmas card, so I could not use red or green. I picked blues and browns as my colour combo, love those 2 colours together.. The stamp is called "the crafter". She is holding a heart in her other hand but I put a role of paper, so it looks like she is wrapping gifts.

Winter Botanical Embossing Folder

Good morning everyone. Don't you love the snow, really getting into the Christmas spirit. Last night I did this card using the Basic Grey Winter Botanical Embossing Folder. It is gorgeous. What a simple way to make a card. You get four embossing folder in this set. Three of them are smaller, so you can layer on your card or make gift tags. I embossed first and then took the Encore Gold Metallic ink and sponged over my image. Then I took the Vintage Photo distress ink and inked the edges and the raised areas of the image. Love the effect it gives.

Hi Everyone,
Here is Advent Calender # 2. This one is made with the Kaiser Craft Box. I used the Graphic 45 Christmas Paper to decorate the little boxes and the back piece.
It is hard to see in the picture but I did a little paper tolling.I popped out the book on Santa's knee and made a window with acetate.
I painted the outside of the box and the inside boxes with Antique Gold acrylic paint from Deco Art.
To put the little boxes together I used ZipDry. To decorate the outside of the boxes I used the same line of Graphic 45 paper and embellishments that I had in my stash. It so nice to use some of the gems that I have collected over time.

Was having computer difficulties so I missed getting my card posted for the Operation Write Blog Hop over at Sizzix.

Sorry for the late post. We had water come in to our basement on Friday. So I spent most of the weekend cleaning. It made me clean up the basement, it was good to get the job done. Happy Wednesday everyone. Last week I showed you a project that I did up in Paisley and it took me 7hrs to do. Well I got a crayon box and it was a lot faster, about 5hrs faster. This is counting the hour to Gesso and paint the box. I changed up the front a bit but I am very pleased.

Christmas Decor

Good morning everyone. I have been trying to do this project for a while. I remember years ago, making these Christmas balls with acrylic paints or I think we would use crystal lacquer. IF you didn't get the paint or crystal lacquer just right then there would be spots on the inside that the glitter wouldn't hold on to. It was very painful to make, for me anyways. Well I found this stuff called Glitter It. It makes it so easy. You pour it inside of your Christmas ball, swoosh it around, then turn the ball upside down to get rid of the excess. I then poured in my Glitter Ritz. Love this glitter. I then used Tim Holtz Tiny Tabs & tags die cut to cut out the tags. I first put the 2 way tape on a piece of silver cardstock. Cut out the round tag, you then peel off the top layer of tape and sprinkle the glitter ritz over tag. Rub the glitter, this makes it shine. There you have a matching tag to go with your colour of Christmas ball.Then I made another tag with same die cut and stamped Merry on it. The Merry is from a stamp set called Joy2stamp.I hope you enjoyed making this project as I did.

Happy Wednesday everyone. This is one of the projects I did at Paisley. I was so excited to do this. It took me most of Friday night. I wasn't doing the cutting has well as I should of. Plus I got things a little backwards but with a little determination I got it done. I got the idea from Laura at The Paper Trail I love her 3D projects. Hi Everyone,
Happy Sunday. I tried to blog from Paisley but couldn't do it. Don't think I had enough juice in the lap top, so that is why I am late. Been scrap booking with a bunch of fun ladies. Had a great time and lots of laughs.It was a productive weekend, I got a few projects done and some that I was expecting to do. You know what I am talking about. You see someone do a card or a page and you just have to do one for your self. Don't matter that you brought all this stuff to work on. Crazy. For example Rose had bought a card made with this stamp. So she bought the stamp and I had to use it. She got the card and stamp from a store in Mildmay called Scrapbook Shop. The stamp is called Sisters and the company is Rubbernecker. Love Love these stamps. They are very vintage, right up my alley. Sheila is getting these stamps in, so keep checking ScrappinGreatDeals web site.
I used Black Versa Fine to stamp the image,then I used Tim Holtz Rock Candy Distress Crackle paint to cover over the girls. The paper is from Graphic45 Christmas line, this paper is called Christmas Carol.

Well it is that time of year again. Fall is my favorite season. I did this layout with BoBunny Forever Fall paper. Love it. When I saw the sunflowers I knew I had to cut them out and layer them. I put crystal lacquer on the dragonfly to make it pop. I cut the leaves with Tim Holtz tattered leaves die cut.

Well I can't believed I missed posting on Sunday and do you believe today is the last day of August. I can't, it just seems like Sheila, Andrea and I were planning to go to CHA. Where has the summer gone? This is a class I taught at Scrappin Great Deals using spellbinders. I love spellbinders. I made the flowers in the front with tissue paper and the scallop circle spellbinder set. The shape of the album was made with the Spellbinders Grand Labels Four and the Nestabilities Labels 4. I used the Want2Scrap Nestabling Label 2/Black Gem to add some bling. Never can have to much bling for wedding albums. Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Well I am going to Skip the Wednesday thing and just blog when I can. Hopefully I will get in to a routine. This is my vanity box revamped. I taught this class last fall at Scrappin Great Deals
I love doing these boxes up. You can decorate these boxes any way you want. Great for storing stuff. Don't know what I am going to put in mine but I'm sure I can find something. Well I missed last Wednesday, didn't have my projects done but I do this week. This is a project I saw at the Novi MI Scrap Booking Convention.It was on display at the Scrappy Chic booth. I fell in love with it and had to make one for myself. The box is from KaiserKraft and the paper is Graphic 45. Did I tell you that I love Graphic 45 paper. I want to use this in my craft room to keep some of my treasured accessories.

Ok Ok It has been 2 weeks since I posted last.I have been working on some projects but this is the only one that I got done in time to post.It is a cute little puse that you can use to hide those lovely gift cards. 2 Weeks In A Row

2nd Week
This past weekend I went on a bus trip to Novi MI to go to the Mega Meet. It was like being a kid in a candy store. It was awesome. I got to see Tim Holtz, but I was not as lucky as the girl on our bus that got his autograph. Oh well, I still got to see him create. Maybe some of that creation power will rub off. LOL

Here is another project that I am teaching at Scrappin' Great Deals. It is a Dad Clock. The Clock is from Kaiser Kraft and the paper is from Paper Loft.

No more excuses, I am going to post once a week on my blog. Yesterday it took me a while to figure out to change the back ground. But it was worth it.
Here is a tri fold shutter album I am doing for a class at Scrappin Great Deals. I got the instructions from Dolly at My Love, My Heart, My Art. I used the Mr. & Mrs. designer paper from Best Creations.

Empty Nest

Can’t believe how fast the time has gone by. I didn’t realize how long it has been since I last posted. Talking about time going by fast, my youngest has gone away to school. So I am not totally an empty nester, she will be coming home on weekends but it is different. I don’t have too many friends that are at this stage in their life, so I am just going with the flow. No wonder us women go crazy at this stage of our lives, dealing with menopause, empty nest syndrome getting old and any thing else that is going on in our lives. Anyone else feel the same? How did you cope or coping with this time in your life?
Here is one of my projects I did with my stamping buddies. They are my rock. Thanks Donna for taking the pictures for me.

I decided to take another picture of one of the cards that I did for the purse. When I look back, I can see that you don’t really get a good look at my cards. I think I need to take some classes but I am thinking I need a better camera first.

This is a Purse Pattern that I cased from my stampin buddy Donna. Visit her blog at stampindivadonna.blogspot.com. Stamping and coming up with projects is so much better when you have a buddy to stamp with. I loved this pattern paper, thought it would make for a cute purse. Then I made these 2 cards to go inside of the purse, if I didn't make the cards so thick I could fit 2 cards on each side. Wouldn't this make a nice gift for someone? Thanks Donna.

Here is a card I did for my neighbors, they got married the beginning of June. I was just a little late getting it to them. Their colours were black and white with red as their accent colours.

Here is a 2 page layout I did with Pacific Point cardstock and Good Morning Sunshine Designer Paper. I love how the flowers turned out. I used the Flower daisy # 2 die cut for the flowers. I put 3 flowers together to make each flower. I inked the edges with the Pacific Point ink. I thought I better stamp something, so I stamped the bird.

Has it been 10 days since I last posted? I have been trying to clean up my craft room. What a chore. I am trying to let go of things, especially the cardstock that are in colours I will never use. I have come to the conclusion, after being with Stampin’UP for 5 years and I have not use a particular colour of cardstock that I will never use it. So I have donated my extra craft supplies to a friend who will make sure it is goes to a good home.
This is Café Hanna. Isn’t she cute? I had to put some bling on her. The life of riley. We all deserve to take a little break.

Here is the Dad Album that I did as a class out at Scrappin Great Deals. I used the BoBunny Grease Monkey Paper. I had 13 creative children plus their mom's. They did a great job and I think they had fun doing it. I bet it is going to be hard for those Moms to keep the album a secret until Father's day.

You think you had a bad day!!!!

My parent’s house caught on fire last night. Thank goodness they were not home. The fireman said it was a fast burning fire. Their house is old and it didn’t take long for it to go up in smoke. They will be out of their house for at least 3 weeks. They need a new kitchen and dining room.
It is scary, they are very upset. My mother is especially up set because she is the one that accidentally left the burner on the stove on. She says she must have hit the switch when she was taking the bread out of her bread maker. Accidents happen, we are only human. Thank goodness dad wasn’t doing his usual thing and having a nap after supper, the smoke was so bad that he might not have made it out. Another thing that saved them from loosing their whole house is they have a security system. They called the fire department; otherwise if they waited for a neighbor to call the fire department the house would have been gone.

Time is Flying

Can’t believe another week has gone by. My 2 daughters are moving out. One will be getting her own place as of July 1 and the other just registered for college in another city. Again time has gone by. My husband and I will be empty nesters come Sept. Have mixed feelings on that one. I will let you know in Sept. I will have to get my husband involved in my craft so we have something in common. LOL.
